WELD SPATTER – REMOVER

One of the methods of Welding is electric arc welding to join two different steel pieces together. During electric arc welding, a very high temperature arc is produced at the electrode tip. The electrode gets molten, the two edges of the steel pieces get red hot and the molten electrode material fill in the gap and fused into the edges and make a very strong joint similar to the original material. During this process of welding, a number of small and big spatters of the electrode material stick to the surface of the steel pieces being welded / joined together, normally on 5 to 10 CM. from the weld joint on both sides.

It is very important to make the surface free of these spatters to make the surface smooth, good in look and quality job of weld work. Any how, smoothness of the surface is required. These spatters are removed in traditional way by chiseling, hammering, grinding, etc. The removal of the spatters in these ways, it takes a lot of skilled labour's time and increase the cost of welding. It may cause loss / damage to the surface and weakness to the material and reduces the strength of the material

Spatter Removing:
These spatters can be removed without any mechanical operation and without any damages / losses / reducing safety of the system. The spatter removing process is very easy, simple and economical. The Spatter Remover Solution is very easy to apply. Before welding of the two pieces, the solution is applied either by a cloth or by a brush on both sides of the welding joint. The application of the solution is a very thin layer like wiping or polishing. During the welding process, the spatters will deposit on this treated surface, but very loose. They will fall down simply by brushing with wire brush.

Composition of the Spatter Remover Solution:
The various compounds like organic chemicals, inorganic chemicals, amines, sterols, extracts, processed oils, solvents, etc are processed and mixed together under the controlled conditions of temperature, pressure and processing time for proper aging. After cooling, the solution is filtered and packed.

Properties / Precautions:
It is non – hazardous, non- inflammable and not poisonous. In case of contact with the skin, wipe out the skin with a cloth and wash with soap. Store it in a shed and away from fire. Keep the lid closed after the application.
